• Review  articles should provide a comprehensive analysis of the current state of the art on a key topic in remote sensing.
• Communications designed for the rapid publication of significant new techniques, data, or results. This section also includes findings from PhD theses, master’s research projects, undergraduate dissertations, and research project results. 
• News & Comment: designed to promptly publish significant news (such as new projects, missions, experiments, symposium announcements, etc.), comments, Q&A  and editorial articles.
