Publishing Process

1. Preparation

Prepare your manuscript in Microsoft Word template or save as that format from another application.

2. Submission

Submit your manuscript through the Remote Sensing Communications submission pages. We look at technical aspects and check if the content meets our standards. We also use software to ensure there’s no plagiarism. If the manuscript passes, it moves on to a more detailed review by experts

3. Peer Review

The reviewers will then meticulously assess the content, determining any required revisions for publication. They possess the authority to decline the article if they find the content to be insufficient or lacking in scholarly quality. This rigorous evaluation ensures that only high-quality, well-substantiated research is advanced for publication.Once the review editors have submitted their independent review reports, authors are notified and are able to view and respond to reviewers’s comments and also re-submit the manuscript if necessary in line with the reviewer comments.

4. Acceptance or rejection

Upon finalization of the review, the editorial decision is taken and authors immediately receive notification.

5. Article Processing Charges

Once the article is accepted, authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charges (APC). Rejected articles are not charged any fees.

6. Article production

Your manuscript layout is adapted according to our style sheet. Proofs will be sent to the corresponding author to be checked and corrected. At this step, you may be asked for higher quality figures if needed. In order to prevent a delay in the production process, please make sure that your images, figures and tables follow the autor guidelines. For any questions, contact productions office rscommunications@recentadvancesin.com

7. Publication and indexing

After production, the article is published electronically in the specialty journal or section, both in HTML and PDF formats, an automatic DOI will be assigned to each publication, providing a unique and permanent identifier for your work  and is also archived.

To ensure the long-term preservation the articles are archived in the National Library of Spain.

8. Dynamic impact evaluation

Your article’s impact is dynamically evaluated while readers browse the pages of Recent Advances’ platform and feed back to the authors.
