Recent Advances receives payment in the form of Article Processing Charges (APCs) for articles that pass peer review and are accepted for publication by our external and independent editorial boards.

APCs are our primary source of revenue and cover the publishing services we provide, enabling us to publish certified research of the highest quality. APCs fund our personnel, production costs (typesetting, copy-editing, journal indexing, archiving, permanent storage), and general administration.

The process is straightforward: APCs are invoiced to the authors’ institutions when their submitted manuscripts are accepted for publication. This transparent and equitable system ensures that we can continue to uphold the highest standards of quality and accessibility, facilitating the global exchange of knowledge while maintaining the financial sustainability of our open access initiatives.
